Where are you located?
We’re Aldinga’s best-kept secret. Secluded from the noise of the main road, we’re situated at 40 Stonehouse Lane. Sometimes the South Rd works cause a wee bit of bother so check our Facebook and/or Instagram for any changes or detours – we’ll post about it on our stories as soon as we know (which is sometimes very last minute, thanks to DIT, and we apologise for that).
Are you Agostinos?
No. We bought the cellar door business from them in 2023, and they’re no longer operating as a Cellar Door anymore. You can still enjoy an array of Agostino wines with your meal with us, or order online from their website to purchase bottles.
Do you do food?
You betcha! We are keeping the old pizza oven going, fuelled with seasoned hardwood to bring you gorgeous woodfired pizzas for lunch and dinner. We also have a selection of platters, sharing plates, desserts, and daily specials on offer – including vegan and vegetarian options, and gluten-free pizza bases.
What are your operating hours?
We are open Friday to Sunday every week, plus most Public Holidays

Do I have to book?
We definitely recommend booking. We are a small team, and booking avoids disappointment and allows us to staff appropriately. You can book your table online here, or you can call 0431 833 732, or email: contact@down-south.com.au
If you have a large group, please reach out because we’ll need to send you some info about your different options regarding food and drink packages, and require a deposit.
Where can I see the menu?

Can I have my own party or function at Down South Distillery?
We’d love that! You can fill out the form on the venue hire page here to let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll chat with you to make it a great time for everyone!
Is BYO allowed?
No, we are not able to allow any BYO food or drink. A $35 charge will apply to each BYO item.
There is also a cakeage fee per cake brought in – minimum $38 for up to 9 guests, and $4 per guest thereafter.
Are you pet-friendly?
YES! We love well-behaved dogs and often have them in to enjoy their visit with their human family!
Are kids allowed?
While children are welcome, it is important to note that we’re not a dedicated space for children. We are a distillery cellar door, and children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. We are not liable for any damage or injury that results from unsupervised children.
That said, we do have kids’ pizzas on our menu, and a cubby house in our outdoor area, so child visitors can still enjoy their time with their families!
